Slots:
In this section we will cover all the slots found in interBet including Video Poker. I also will cover some of the strategy used by some of the best gamblers in the world in playing slots. We will cover also what to look for when trying to find a winner. I will also explain how to figure your odds of winning at a particular slot machine. Some of these tips will only help you in interBet others can only be usefull in a real casino, but again the bottom line is to try to help you win no matter where you are playing.
Charles Fey invented the first so called modern 3 reel slot machine in the late 1890's. The slot machine he invented was called the liberty bell. In the early 1900's slot machines started to become popular in San Francisco where they could be found in saloons and brothels. The players would usually win a cigar or a drink with a win on the 5 cent slot machine. The early slot machines used pictures of cards on the wheels. Back then there were no regalatory agencies so everything was wide open and the owners of the slot machines raked in pretty good profits. Since that time the slot machine has gone through a roller coaster ride on its way to today's popularity. The slot machine is the most popular form of gambling in the casino's today. Why? Simple its easy to play and offers the lure of hugh payoffs which attracts people of all ages.
But are they worth playing? Or are they nothing more than a easy cash cow for the casino's. We will cover all the machines used at interBet and also explain how you can increase you odds of hearing the bells ring and seeing the lights flash and collecting a jackpot either in iB or in a cash casino.
It doesnt matter what type of pictures a slot machine has on its wheels. What does matter is how many reels it has and how many symbols are on each reel. The more reels and the more symbols the harder it is for you to hit a jackpot or for that matter a winning combination. Example if you have a slot machine that has 3 reels and 20 symbols on each reel and you need 3 7's to win the jackpot. More than likely you will find only one 7 on each reel. so to figure your chances of winning you would take 1/20 x 1/20 x 1/20 = 1/8000 or 1 in 8,000 are the odds of you hitting the 7-7-7. So if you know how many symbols are on a reel and you know how many jackpot winning symbols are on the reel you can easily figure the odds of hitting the jackpot or for that matter any prize. Just take the number of the particular symbol on each reel such as in the 7's, that's 1 and then the number of total symbols on each reel which is 20 and then the number of reels, which was 3 and multiply. A five reel machine using the same set-up would be 1/20 x 1/20 x 1/20 x 1/20 x 1/20 = 1 chance in 3,400,000. Dont let anyone tell you more is better!
Ok we just covered how to figure what your chances are of hitting the jackpot. Now lets discuss what to look for in slots. First read the payout table on the front of the slot machine. Its going to tell you just what the payoffs are on certain combinations in relation to the coins you put in. If you find a machine with a lot of small payouts dont get discouraged, actually it can be a good sign because those small payoffs might keep you going long enough to hit the BIG jackpot. Next see whats the lowest number of symbols that the machines will payoff on. Example some machines will pay if you get lets say 2 cherries. Others will pay if you get 1 cherry. Using the same 3 reel machine with 20 symbols and having 4 cherries on 4 cherries on 1 reel and 3 on another and 2 on the last reel you would hit 1 cherry every third spin. But it doesnt always happen that way and why SIMPLE slots mostly are now run by computers.
The computer has now become the controlling force in when a slot machine will hit. The machine might look like the old fashioned reel type but deep down its governed by the computer. The computer program has every possible combination that can be made by the reels and it assigns a number to every combination. The program then will generate randomly a number which will determine the symbol combination. These random number generators are faster than you are and they never take a rest. So when you hit the spin button or pull the handle the number generator picks the number corresponding to the synbols you will eventually see and then continues to cycle through numbers waiting for you next pull. If your lucky the number selected will correspond to a nice payoff.
Payoffs on most slots are programmed at anywhere from 80% to about 98%. That doesnt mean that a casino programs all its slots to payoff at the same percentage. What it means is on average the slots are programmed to give back lets say 96% of what it takes in. That gives the house a average of 4% of the money played, which is darn good when you think what a good casino gets in play at its slots. We will cover more of how to play as we go over each slot in iB and some of those used in cash casino's. So pick a slot below and lets see if we can help you win that jackpot.
