Bingo:

    Bingo started during the depression. It was a way for churches to raise money for the needy. It was first legalized in New Jersey and New York sometime in the 1950's.                                              

                                                                             Today you can find bingo games almost anywhere, local churches, Indian reservations, casino's, and special bingo halls. Bingo payoffs can range anywhere from $1,000 in the local churches and synagogues, to several thousand dollars at casino's and the larger gambling halls. Some even have a progressive jackpot that will increase each time a jackpot isnt hit.                                                                

                                                                              What is bingo and how is it played? Its simply a game played with 75 numbered balls and a game card with 24 numbered boxes and 1 free space. The numbered balls are put into a hopper and then randomly selected 1 at a time and called out by a caller. The first person to complete a game pattern on their game card wins that game.              

      The game cards are made up of 24 random numbers and 1 free space. with 75 numbers to use it is very unlikely that there would be any duplicate cards in any game. The cards themselves are divided into 5 columns with the heading of each column being the letters of B-I-N-G-O.                                                  

The B column has 5 numbers ranging from 1-15                
The I column has 5 numbers ranging from 16-30
The N column has 4 numbers from 31-45 plus 1 free space in the center                                                   
The G column has 5 numbers ranging from 46-60  
The O column has 5 numbers ranging from 61-75

                                                                                              To play the game you must match a particular pattern on the game card by  using the numbers chosen at random and called by the caller. Sounds easy enough right. But your odds of filling a card in coverall with 50 numbers or less drawn are way up there:            

with 48 numbers 1 in 799,399
with 49 numbers 1 in 407,857
with 50 numbers 1 in 212,086

Of course the more numbers that are drawn, the better your chances of winning. The odds on the other games in BINGO get better. Also Bingo is the only game that casinos will run at a loss. The reason is they use bingo to draw in the customers. Also play mutiple cards when you play. It will increase your odds of winning.
